BEADS and PEACE

Dear Parishioners, Greetings and the peace of Our Lord to all of you! We are a group of Catholics in Fremont County, and we lovingly and humbly adminster a program called "Beads and Peace" in which we send Rosaries and other sacramental items to overseas missions, the US armed forces, prison ministries, health-care facilities, pro-life organizations, and other activities where they are needed, completely without cost of any kind of recipient. We do this on our own, without any financial or other assistance from our parishes, nor do we EVER solicit for monetary donations of any kind. Our work and ministry is completely in God's hands with the guidance of Our Lady. This is our third annual drive to collect used and broken wire rosaries from parishes throughout the United States. All are cleaned thoroughly, repaired as neccesary, and then sent where needed. Thanks to your help, in 2002 we were able to place over 22,000 Rosaries in the hands of the children of God. We also sent 15 sets of Mass vestments, chalices and thousands of medals, scapulars and prayer cards. May we make an appeal to please consider collecting Rosaries and donating them to us for repair and shipment to those in need? It doesn't matter what shape they are in as we are able to repair most because we have accumulated a good store of spare parts retrieved from 'unrepairables'. We save every conceivable part from a Rosary, even the tiniest beads and links, and sooner or later will use them. When we refurbish a Rosary it becomes a wonderful trubute to the original owner and will be of comfort to someone, somewhere, as part of God's ultimate plan.
