FROM THE DESK OF PASTOR

My Dear Parishioners,

Another year ends – a mixture of sadness and joy, loss and rich blessings. I take this opportunity to thank you, our faithful parishioners and wonderful volunteers, for all your faithful support and service.

As we prepare to usher in the New Year, the Church invites us all to imitate the Holy
Family in holiness…

We know from experience that, like the Holy Family, we are not set free from the difficulties and challenges of life. Rather, it is through these very difficulties, struggles and tensions in our lives that our faith and our holiness are tested, deepen, grow and are revealed as a faithful and obedient response to God’s Will.

Indeed, a life of holiness is not a fanciful or otherworldly way of life. The Scriptures clearly identify the ingredients in the recipe for a holy family; they are: honor, respect and obedience to one’s parents. To this recipe for holiness – both for the family and the community – St. Paul adds the season of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, patience, and a forgiving spirit.

I pray that this New Year will be a time when all our families and our community grow in God’s Grace
and in Holiness.
